His retirement from the Coast Guard and about that time, marriage to Anna, certainly was the beginning of a new life. Richard became interested in the Salon environment and its work through assisting with the organization and observance of its effects. Richard’s background has gained him an exceptional ability for focusing and organizing the most difficult of situations. As the salon expanded, Richard was becoming a much too typical corporate employee at Massachusetts Financial Services, as the Facilities Chief Engineer.
His faith and interest in the home salon grew. As clients expressed interest for Massage Therapy, Richard realized that this could very well be the avenue to allow him to join the salon, and relieve many of the stresses in his life. In 1997 Richard completed training at Central Massachusetts School of Massage Therapy.
He has been practicing in bodywork for 12 years having remarkable results and a constant increase of satisfied clients. Richard attributes this to a constant awareness to clients’ individual needs and working from his -heart with every opportunity. Focusing on relaxing clients from the moment of introduction, continuing through the deeper contact, associated with assorted massage techniques.
Of additional education Richard has successfully undertaken Reiki, Cranial Sacral Therapy & Reflexology. Richard also has a strong interest in Meditation, assisting Meditation and working with the elderly. He is focused in constantly gaining knowledge and skills to maintain and grow in his many modalities.
